Buy This Book

I recently found a book that’s actually a cool wind-up tractor toy and several playsets in disguise as a book. This book comes with a wind-up tractor, and three different tracks for it to run on. Let me show you how it works. I have a video too.

The book is fairly large, it measures 12″ X 9.5″. The first page gives you a bit of a story, and a selection of cardboard pop-outs that can be stood up on the following page. That page has a deep groove all over the place. Read the story, place the stand ups whereever you choose (there are a few recommendations along the track) Now wind up the tractor and place it in the track. It races around the page, following the track, and occasionally crashing through fences and cows.

Kids will have fun placing the cardboard figures around the page, and then watching the tractor race through. There are three different layouts. The field (where the track traverses back and forth so it’s tilling the field) a snowy meadow, and finally the runaway tractor that crashes into the pond. (The track leads it straight into the pond)

The coolest thing to me, is that the cardboard pieces pop right back into the page very easily, and they’re of a good quality, coated, so this can be played with, stored neatly, and played with again. To me this is a perfect item for Grandma’s house, it “opens up” to quite a bit of play time, but stores neatly on a bookshelf. All in all, this is a great value for $25.

Here’s a gallery of a few more pictures.
You can buy this book easiest through this link.

Here’s a quick video showing the tractor in motion, and how the cardboard pieces pop right back into the page
