A few weeks ago I set up a Dad Lounge at the Tot Swap to introduce people to this wonderful resource for Dads. One of the vendors I met introduced me to a product called Stuck On You labels, she sent me a set to test drive, and frankly, they’re very helpful. Now that our son has entered day care, we need to start putting his name on everything we hope to see again. As you know, everything that a baby comes in contact with gets either wet, puked on, washed, or caught between stroller wheel and asphault. These labels are ready to take the worst beating.

StuckOnYou labels are extremely durable labels that easily go on just about anything that your kid needs to keep. Some labels are designed for hard plastics (bowls, cups, bottles) and others are to be ironed onto clothing, blankets, plush. They are built to last, the plastic labels can go through the dishwasher, sink, microwave, and stick around. The cloth labels can go through the washer and dryer (tumble dry) and still identify its owner.

The ordering process was pretty simple, there are packages of assortments you can pick (Just want to stock up on clothing labels? Go nuts. Need a package to label everything you send to camp? There’s a set for you.), you can choose the color scheme, font, amount of information, and little clip-arty icon to go with it. Some labels are intended to have phone numbers and addresses, others are sized for just a name. The professionally printed label adds a tiny bit of class to these precious items you’re sending out through the real world.

You’ll notice in these pics I have pixeled out my son’s first name. I know it won’t last forever, but I’m trying to provide a shred of anonymity to the poor guy. The printed names come out very cleanly even after ironing and washing, they are still very clear. So don’t be fooled by the pixels.

Is there any downside to these labels? Not really, sure you could live without them, but having pre-printed, ready to be attached labels handy is extremely convenient. They’re smartly priced ($18.50 for 50 labels on average), and with all of the color, font, and icon choices, you can find something that even your “coolest” of kiddos will allow. After you place your order, simply wait two weeks for the labels to arrive.

Check out my photo gallery for a variety of objects that I attached my son’s name too. There are more options and ideas on their web site. You can find out more, and order them all in one place. StuckOnYou.biz
