My two and a half year old son has taken it upon himself to demonstrate how to change a diaper. We filmed this, with absolutely no coaching on our part. Enjoy!
Tonight I had to change my son’s diaper. The men’s room at the restaurant we were at did not have a changing table, so I knocked a few times and ducked into the ladies room to use their changing table. I was very anxious someone would walk in. Luckily the only person that did come in was my Mother in law… so she stuck around and acted as look out until I was done.
So I created this sign, to print and keep handy (not sure how I’ll attach it to the door… hmmm) for the next time.
Feel free to download and print out this PDF to keep for future situations.
When I first wrote that title, it looked like diaper bag toys that talked… or talking diapers… anyway, I have a double shot for you. Click below to listen.
At Toy Fair last month I stopped by the Basic Fun booth to check out their Yo Gabba Gabba toys (as seen in the most recent video podcast). But before I left their booth I was shown these sweet key chains, based on Fisher Price classic toys. Click below to check em all out Read the rest of this entry »
More stuff from 2009 Toy Fair in NYC. Yo Gabba Gabba, Mickey Mouse, Disney Princesses, My Little Pony, Furreal Friends, Baby Alive, Littlest Pet Shop, and Ryan Oakes Magic for young magicians and more!
My son is only 19 months old, but he loves coloring on the placemats at restaurants. Most of these establishments give us crayons (with their label on them) and I’ve been keeping them. We’ve got so many, at this rate we’ll never need to buy crayons again. Anyway, I keep a handful in my diaper bag for places that don’t give us crayons, but they keep getting crushed. So I bought a $.99 snap tight travel soap case at Wal*Mart (Sorry, Walmart * ), and that’s been working great. Free crayons, under a dollar for the case? What’s next?
Thanks to Real Simple magazine via Consumerist.com. (Who recommended a soap case for keeping your small digital camera safe.
Two companies had Yo Gabba Gabba toys to gush over at this year’s Toy Fair. Up first is Basic Fun with their key chains, tub toys and squishy characters. (I’ll show you their awesome vintage Mattel toy re-issues too). Then I’ll touch on Spin Master with their interactive Yo Gabba Gabba plush in a follow-up. Read the rest of this entry »
Frustrated with the lack of options when picking out a diaper bag? Are the designer masculine bags just a little too expensive at $80? Here’s a cool, manly diaper bag you can put together with minimal effort, and about $30 in materials.
Here is a PDF of designs you can use to iron to the bag or burp cloth. I recommend dark color t-shirt transfer paper for this project.
I also referenced our original Robot and Ninja baby blankets, click here for more info on ordering one of these. Available in Boy, Girl, and neutral color schemes.
Both the manly diaper bag and robot baby blankets also make excellent gifts for new and/or expecting fathers.
