There’s a toy store in Vienna, VA called Once Upon A Time that holds an annual Playmobil Day. They held a display contest featuring photos of local kids’ playmobil displays. Ed, a rep from Playmobil USA is on hand to answer questions the kids and parents have, and they had some of the latest sets opened on a kid sized table to let them get some hands on play with the new sets. There’s also plenty of fresh lemonade and cookies galore. Oh, did I mention all playmobil toys are 20% off that day? It’s fantastic.
You’ll see us there next year hopefully playing with the upcoming Ghost Pirates and Dragon Castle lines. Stay tuned.
(Here is the picture I brought them of my son opening the pirate ship, they hung it up)
I was recently vacationing at Bethany Beach, (near Ocean City Maryland). On the way into town we passed this vintage toy store and I had to check it out. WOW, talk about a toygasm of vintage goodies cheap. Ninja Turtles, Star Trek, Star Wars, GI Joe, He-Man, Transformers, Playmobil, Thomas the Tank Engine and a whole room for boardgames. Check out my video tour.
Heading east this summer? Vist Yesterday’s Fun, 117 Atlantic Ave near Bethany Beach Delaware.
Did you see anything in there you’d snag up?
Here is a link to part 1 of my Playmobil Egyptian review. (The Sphinx, the Temple, the Chariot, and the Royal Ship).
My review of the Pyrmaid and the Tomb Raiders is next. These are in stores starting in August. And they are sweet!
I usually do the playmobil reviews over at MillionairePlayboy.com, but I wanted to toss Lando a bone, so check out his review of the Animal Clinic and Operating Room out now from Playmobil. Check out his review and pics!
I just finished reviewing a handful of Playmobil sets over on our Collector site, MillionairePlayboy.com. I look at the large chapel, the wedding cake set, and the Honeymooner car. There are nearly 50 pics, so go check it out. Playmobil Wedding
