Happy April Fool’s Day! This isn’t a prank, but something awfully silly that you and the kids will like (the mommy’s not so much maybe?) My wife lasted about 35 seconds, or roughly two demonstrations of the Yada Yada Yada voice recorder (with warp wheel) before she demanded I give it away. They just don’t get it do they fellas? Check out my demo. You know someone who will love this toy.
I picked this up at Target for $7 (in the electronic hand-held games area) It comes in a variety of colors, and is built to withstand being in a seven year old’s backpack (or my brief case).
I’m totally ditching my blackberry for this.
The Yada Yada Yada is made by Big Time Toys, check out BigTimeToys.com for more information.

This will not go on long car rides in my presence. It, along with my husband, will be tossed out the window in less than 30 seconds.

oh come on now, we all know what this is. this thing’s just Yak Bak for this generation of kids. Yak Bak came out in the 90s and was basically a small, handheld recording toy. most versions also contained voice warping and more advanced versions included the ability to play your message backwards, sound effects and looping and reverb effects. ha, let’s see your Yada Yada Yada voice recorder do that! there was even a yak bak that came in the form of a working pen. please reply if you remember these. They were made by a company called Yes! entertainment corporation under the Yes! Gear line. yak bak forever! check the wikipedia entry.
