To summarize, in 2000, playmobil released a line of toys, playmobil First Smile specifically for infants, but were discontinued shortly there after. Since learning of my child’s upcoming birth, I have spent months tracking down sets on eBay, and since it’s my first child, I only consider mint-in-box and not ever having been in another baby’s mouth. Fast forward 7 months, and my son is actually playing with them… nay enjoying them. He’s got lots of toys that move and make noise and have all kinds of whistles and bells. These two playmobil toys are at the lower end, technologically speaking, but he’ll drop what he’s playing with to grab ahold of that wonderful plastic smile. You can’t imagine the pride welling up inside. Check out the gallery for more pictures of Playmobil First smile toys, and my son playing with them.
