Just a few weekends ago, my wife went out of town, leaving me and my five year old son to our own devices. Since Halloween was just around the corner, we decided to do everything gross (that Mommy wouldn’t allow) that we could fit into the weekend. Though it lasted more than a day, we dubbed this Ewwwsday. Click below for a lot of pics, and what you can do with your kids for some safe, gross fun. Read the rest of this entry »
Tonight we took our (almost) five year old to the live arena spectacular How to Train Your Dragon LIVE. We had a blast! The special effects and the gymnastics mixed with the life-sized free-roaming animatronics was quite a sight. Click below for more pics, our reactions, and a code to get 25% off your ticket!
Monster Jam monster truck extravaganza was back in town this weekend and we were there with bells (ear protection) on. They didn’t disappoint. There were plenty of smack-downs, loads of destruction, and a truckfull of face-melting spectacle. Click below for more bone-wrenching photos. Read the rest of this entry »
I’m reviewing vehicles from Mattel’s Dark Knight Rises action figure line. Both of these playsets have action features. Proceed with caution. Read the rest of this entry »
As excitement grows for The Dark Knight Rises, we just reviewed Mattel’s 6″ Movie Master figures. Those are detailed and priced for a collector. These 4.5″ Quick-Tek figures are perfect for little kids. My (four year old son) has learned to look for the recommended age notification on the package. “Daddy, these are for 4 and up! That’s me!” But these aren’t kid toys, they pack a punch and are just at home on your shelf. Click below for more photos.
We recently talked with Jack Logar from Magic 106.5 about the Fireworks in My Room from Uncle Milton. Click below to listen to the clip… Read the rest of this entry »
Tomorrow The Muppets is available on DVD/Blu-Ray. If you missed it in theaters, now is the time to get things started. Click here to buy the The Muppets (Wocka Wocka value pack).
While the last few Muppet installments to hit theaters felt like kids movies that had adult appeal, this movie is clearly aimed to the adults that grew up with the Muppets, but it’s great fun for younger kids. My four year old loves the original Muppet Movie and Fraggle Rock, and he was right there with me watching The Muppets with glee. Click below to see my whole review.
The Ringling Bros Circus came back to town! This time it was the Fully Charged show. Focusing on high energy and dazzling spectacle, it’s quite a sight to be seen. I loved the audience engagement and showmanship. Click below to see more pics! Read the rest of this entry »
